OR – OBG Launches Collaboration Series

OREGON BREWERS GUILD LAUNCHES QUARTERLY COLLABORATION SERIES WITH STATE OF EXCITEMENT NO. 2
How do you collaborate on a beer during a global pandemic?
Very carefully.
Twenty-seven Oregon’s breweries recently united to brew a statewide collab, State of Excitement No. 2, a hazy IPA brewed at Portland’s Baerlic Beer Co. The beer release marks the launch of the Guild’s quarterly collaboration series, which builds on the fun everyone had cranking out the Zwickelmania beer the past two Februaries.
“Collaborations are a little different right now, but I suppose just about everything is,” said Baerlic Beer Co. Brewer Stephen Helwig, who led the charge on brewday. “Fortunately, the modern miracle of the internet helped us to communicate, stay organized, and craft a damn delicious beer that shows off the best ingredients Oregon has to offer.”

A Big Craft Beer Welcome to the First Latina-Founded Community Brewing Space, Mujeres Brew House

San Diego Welcomes First Latina-Founded Community Brewing Space, Mujeres Brew House

When you think iconic beer zones, San Diego city and county rate high with most craft beer enthusiasts. I eagerly look forward to seeking out Mujeres Brew House in the city by the bay on my next trip down.
“On July 1, 2020, the Mujeres Brew Club in San Diego will open the first Latinx women-founded and women-led community brewing space, educational facility, and taproom dedicated to empowering people of all backgrounds, specifically focusing on women of color in the craft beer industry. According to co-founders Carmen Favela and Esthela Davila, Mujeres Brew House will be managed by women and for women with the intent of breaking down barriers of entry into the beer scene.”
Mujeres Brew House is an incorporated non-profit collaboration between Border X Brewing, Mujeres Brew Club, and progressive community gallery space Bread & Salt.
If the beer matches the concept I see nothing but blue skies for this great idea.
