Robotic treasure recovery planned for century-old buried Champagne storage room

Due to serious risk to human life, robot recovery is planned for reaching a possible stash of over 1 million bottles of Champagne trapped beneath Pol Roger’s cellars since structural collapse in 1900.
In February last year, using sonar technology, Pol Roger unearthed 26 bottles of intact Champagne, which are believed to come from the 1898 vintage.
Pol Roger reported that they are potable, with the corks still in tact.
