A-B InBev calls off sale of Beck’s

Anheuser-Busch InBev has called off a deal to sell the German beer brand Beck’s.

Wirtschaftswoche reports that the sale of 13 Eastern European breweries, approved last week, eased A-B InBev’s debt burden enough that it no longer needs to sell Beck’s.

U.S. buyout firm Bain Capital was set to buy Beck’s for $2.5 billion.
