On the road - Sept. 22

Left Cleveland at 6 a.m. It was hard-slogging through the rain until we arrived in St. Louis at about 1 p.m. The real bright spot here was The St. Louis Brewery, makers of Schlafly Beer. We stopped in at the bar and spoke with Head Brewer Neal. He showered us with samples and a wonderful tour. I can't speak highly enough of his hospitality (or the quality of his beer!). His Hop Harvest, "wet" hopped with cascades, was brilliant.

We continued on to Kansas City and McCoy's. A great dinner and some pleasant beers were followed by an evening of rest before the drive continued. The sun rose on a beautiful Kansas landscape and kept on shining!
