Wynkoop Brewing begins annual search
Oct 10, 2004 - The search for the 2005 Beerdrinker of the Year has begun. Deadline to enter the annual competition sponsored by Wynkoop Brewery Co. in Denver, Colo., is Dec. 31, 2004.
The contest seeks and honors the most passionate, beer-minded person in the United States, a person whose life revolves very closely around beer, its culture, history and appreciation. The winner of the 2005 Beerdrinker of the Year title will win free beer for life at the Wynkoop Brewing Company and $100 worth of beer at their home brewpub. They will win items of apparel proclaiming them The 2005 Beerdrinker of the Year, and they'll have their name engraved on the Beerdrinker of the Year trophy on display at the Wynkoop. Contestants are asked to subit a resume that includes the entrant's beerdrinking philosophy, the name of their home brewpub and other details that highlight their beeriness. The three finalists will be flown to Wynkoop Brewing Co. for the Beerdrinker of the Year finals on Feb. 26, 2005. Beerdrinker of the Year resumes can be sent to: The Beerdrinker of the Year
