Grupo Modelo earlier announced it would begin selling its popular Corona beer in cans in the United States. Previously, Corona, the No. 1 import in the U.S., was available only in bottles.

Tecate will now be sold in U.S. stores in 16-oz. cans, while Dos Equis Lager will be available for the first time in 12-oz. cans. Tecate was already available in the smaller-size cans. "Both packagings increase sales possibilities of these brands in places like sports stadiums and beaches," a press release said.
