'Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day' returns Nov. 1
Oct 20, 2003 - Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day returns Nov. 1. Last year, more than 1,000 homebrewers participated at 124 sites and the American Homebrewers Assocation estimated that 450 new homebrewers were introduced to the hobby.
The AHA's Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day began in 1999, and is an international effort to introduce people to the homebrewing hobby and establish relationships with local homebrew supply shops. "Homebrewing is both fun and easy - everyone should try it," AHA project director Gary Glass said. "We encourage all homebrewers to share their love of homebrewing with their friends and neighbors and Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day is the prefect opportunity to do that." The AHA encourages homebrewers to teach their non-brewing friends how to homebrew, register their brewing site at www.beertown.org, take non-brewing friends to their local homebrew shop to buy ingredients and have fun homebrewing.
