Beertopia 2013
Beertopia is in its fifth year! It is always held the Saturday before Saint Patrick's Day weekend in March from 2-6pm. It is held in the parking lot behind grapevine, located at 1012 Market Street in Fort Mill, 5 miles south of Charlotte just off of I-77 exit 85 in Baxter Village.
Approximately 180 beers from 60 brewers will be represented as well as a homebrew contestants.
This is the fifth year we will donate $1 for each ticket sold to charity.
Each Beertopian who holds either a Green VIP or General Admission ticket will receive a collectible Beertopia tasting glass and full access to all craft beer samples. Green VIPs will have first access to selected rare beers when they are admitted at 1pm. All ticket holders will enjoy U-Phonik live, vendor access and ability to purchase wine and beer by the glass inside grapevine.

Three Brothers Wineries is pleased to announce the return of our Brewfest. The Third Annual Brewfest will be held on March 9th, 2013 from 12pm-6pm on our estate.
In the past we’ve tied in local breweries along with artisans to give our area a fun event during the slower winter months. This year, we are looking to join together with more of the local microbreweries in the area and bring as many people in as possible in order to promote and expose the public to the most widely growing industry in the area.
NOTICE:We will also have a home brewing competition open to the public.For the Home Brewing Competition, check out the website for the entry form, we would like everyone who wants to participate to hand in their forms a week prior, just so we have an idea of what everyone is bringing in, as well as how many are participating. There is a $20 fee for entering, but that fee is being put directly towards a local growth organization, and with paying that fee, you will receive a complimentary brewfest pass that everyone else will be paying $20 for.Prizes will be awarded to the top-scoring beer (we will be using the BJCP 50-point system), the runner-up, and the best name/label beer. Grand prize includes a $100 gift card to Sunset Hydroponics and Home Brewing, Brewer's Best Ingredient kit of the brewer's choice as well as one Blichmann Engineering Thrumometer courtesy of Sunset Hydroponics and Home Brewing, a brewfest tshirt, Best of Show trophy, and a filled growler from the War Horse Brewing Company.
Customers pay one price and are given a ticket allowing them to sample at each brewery once. Last year each customer was allowed one sample of each variety of beer available.

Beer Bloggers' Tap Takeover
Join ReviewBrews.com and the Area Man Drinks Beer blog (Neighbeers) from the Boston-area Patch.com for a beer bloggers’ tap takeover at Stoddard’s Pub on Tuesday, March 12.
Matt and Mike have pulled together an all-star lineup of small Massachusetts-based brewers that are hard to find inside of 128, with Newburyport’s Riverwalk Brewing Company, Norton’s Bog Iron Brewing and the Tree House Brewing Company from the tiny hamlet of Brimfield in western Massachusetts. Best of all, the pride of Worcester, the Wormtown Brewery, will be donating a keg of its beloved Be Hoppy IPA for the event. Donations from the pay-as-you-go event will benefit Pints for Prostates, a grassroots campaign that uses the universal language of beer to reach men (and those that love them) with an important health message.
The PFP campaign raises awareness among men about the importance of regular health screenings and early detection. A registered 501(c)3 charity, funds generated by the group go to fighting prostate cancer and assisting men with the disease. In addition to funding its education and awareness efforts, Pints for Prostates supports other 501(c)3 organizations involved in the fight against prostate cancer. Us TOO International Prostate Cancer Education and Support Network, which works to support, educate and advocate for men with prostate cancer and their families, and the Prostate Conditions Education Council, which organizes free men’s health screening clinics across the U.S., are recipients of Pints for Prostates financial support.
So join us to have a great time for prostates (in a totally not awkward way!) on Temple Place in Downtown Crossing, downstairs at Stoddard’s new The Friday Club, a venue devoted to local beers and spirits. 6-9 pm; free.

The Great American BBQ & Beer Festival 2013
The Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival is shaping up to deliver Arizona’s biggest and most de licious BBQ event ever! HDE Agency is pulling out all the stops this year with a massive event planned that includes over 100 exhibitors, and more than 30 BBQ vendors from across the nation serving up over 20,000 lbs of mouth-watering pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket and chicken paired with the state’s finest craft beer.
