October 5, 2013 - Cutchogue, New York, United States
Pour The Core: Hard Cider Festival – Long Island
Join us for the 2nd Annual Pour the Core: A Hard Cider Festival Long Island
Saturday, October 5, 2013
30+ Local and International Ciders
With the renewed interest in eating and drinking local, it is no wonder that ciders are following in the wildly popular footprints of craft beer, and often compared to wine. Today we see that hard ciders and perries (cider made from pears) are enjoying quite a renaissance here is the United States.
This event will showcase the finest locally-produced and internationally-sourced ciders – more than 30 in all – being sampled on the picturesque grounds of Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue (Long Island), NY.
The event will feature local favorites (including Peconic Bay Winery’s True Believer, a sparkling apple cider and one of the first to hail from Long Island), best-selling U.S. produced ciders (including Angry Orchard, McKenzie’s and Woodchuck), and a variety of imported ciders and perries from England, Ireland, and Sweden.
The event will take place outdoors, under tents, nestled into the beautiful fall foliage on the grounds of the winery. The event will take place rain or shine (no refunds). Food (not included in ticket price) will be available for purchase. Parking is free.
There will also be music and special seminars about cider, the making of cider, and the enjoyment of cider. The event will help raise funds for the Beer for Brains Foundation. This event sold out last year and a sell-out is expected again, so buy your tickets early! Once the event sells out, no additional tickets will be available. Tickets include admission to the festival, a souvenir tasting glass and the freedom to enjoy samples from any participating exhibitor.
No one under 21 will be admitted. Only those 21+ with valid photo ID will be admitted. No exceptions. This includes designated drivers who must be 21+ to attend. Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver’s license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered. For the safety of everyone at the festival, no infants, children, strollers, or pets will be allowed. Please plan accordingly.

Location: Peconic Bay Winery Hours: 1:00PM-5:00PM Admission: Tickets are $40 each, Designated Driver tickets are available for $10. Organization: Starfish Junction Productions Phone: 631-940-7290 Email: info@starfishjunction.com
