5th Annual Strong Beer Month Join the 21st Amendment Brewery and Magnolia Pub and Brewery February 1st for the kick-off of our 5th Annual Strong Beer Month. The brewers of the 21st Amendment and Magnolia Pub and Brewery once again bring you an astounding range of memorable brews to lift the winter doldrums. Visit both breweries, try all ten beers and keep the special commemorative glass. Commemorative t-shirts are also available. The festivities begin February 1st, but check back often as special kegs and casks of vintage and barrel-aged beers will appear throughout the month. and runs the entire month. KLCC Microbrew Festival The KLCC MICROBREW FESTIVAL returns for another year of good brews, live music, and fun-loving people. Taste the microbrews of brewers from all over the west -- and as far away as Louisiana and Pennsylvania! -- offering your favorite ales plus many specialty brews. Enjoy the music of two of Eugene's finest bands. And of course, the friendly KLCC staff will be there to greet you. All proceeds will benefit public radio station KLCC 89.7 FM.
A Home Brew Competition will take place prior to the event. Anyone wishing to enter should take 3 bottles of their home brew to Valley Vintner and Brew in Eugene and fill out an entry blank. Entry fee for the Home Brew Competition is $10 for the first brew and $5 for additional brews, and includes admission to the Saturday Festival. Deadline is February 5. Judging will be held on February 9 and announced at the Festival on Saturday, February 10.
Several Oregon brewers are working on this year's Collaboration Brew. Details coming soon!
Come and sample some of the finest brews on the west coast, listen to some great music, and socialize with friends at the KLCC Microbrew Festival

Hops & Props Fifty craft breweries from eight states and five countries will converge on The Museum of Flight to share their specialties. Guests can sample the finest examples of the brewer's art while learning more about beer than they've ever imagined knowing from the expert brewmasters on hand. Gourmet delights will be provided by Catering by McCormick and Schmicks. The general event ticket price includes live music by Seattle band BD & the Rockits, all sample tastes, food selections, a commemorative tasting glass, an educational tasting guide and access to the Museum's galleries. Some tickets will be available at the door, but space is limited, and advance reservations are strongly recommended. A VIP experience is available offering early admission, reserved parking and a private tasting of specialty brews, featuring commentary by renowned beer critic Alan Moen.

Magic Hat Mardi Gras Weekend This President’s Weekend is a great time to travel to Burlington, Vermont and join in the spinning spectacle of the 12th Annual Magic Hat Mardi Gras Parade weekend, February 16th-18th! All festivities serve as a financially fat fundraiser for the Women's Rape Crisis Center of Burlington, raising over $17,000 in 2006. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16th: Abandon your inhibitions during Magic Hat's Mardi Gras Weekend and kick it off Friday eve at Higher Ground Music Hall in South Burlington, featuring a gala New Orleans dance party with music from Soulvation Army, a 17 piece band from the Green Mountains with Heart in the Horns, Rhyme in the Rhythm, and Singers with SOUL, Cajun cuisine and driving rhythms. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17th: SNOW OR SHINE, at 3:00 PM, the Church Street Marketplace in downtown Burlington comes alive! The main event manifests as an eye-popping parade consisting of 30+ floats festooned with all manner of ornamentation, costumed citizenry and hurling of beaded baublery. New Orleans’ moon pies, Lake Champlain Chocolates, candies, and other sweet surprises rain upon the thousands of eager onlookers lining the avenues.
