February 6, 2015 - Westland , Michigan, United States
Ashley's 5th Annual Belgian Beer Festival
The restaurant's 47 draft handles and bottle selection are turned over to exclusively brewed in Belgium craft beers. A special cuisine a la biere Belgian food menu is offered along with special brewer and importer events and sessions throughout the eleven days of the Festival. Over 70 different Belgian draft beers and over 120 more in bottles. The Festival's intent is to enrich people's lives through the experience of Belgian craft beer. To expose current and future craft beer enthusiasts to true, made-in-Belgium beers through the largest, exclusively Belgian beer festival in North America. Many American brewers are making Belgian-style beers but US customers often do not know the originals and thus can be confused as to the offerings and true style differences. This Festival gives guests the chance to explore these beers and appreciate why they often considered among the best in the world. See the web-site for specific events and updates on visiting brewers. The Festival's featured brewer is Xavier Van Honsebrouck of Browerij Van Honsebrouck.

February 26, 2015 to March 8, 2015 - Sacramento, California, United States
Sacramento Beer Week
Like last year, the 2015 week's activities will be bookended by the Sacramento Brewer's Showcase at the California Auto Museum on February 26th, and the Capitol Beer Fest on the Capitol Mall on March 8th. The Brewer's Showcase is the premier event for Sacramento beer lovers, with exclusively local breweries (~45 miles of Sac), serving up some of their tastiest favorites and new brews (and you get to check out cool cars all night, which is pretty sweet). The Capitol Beer Fest is a huge event on the grassy mall in front of the State Capitol (also really cool scenery to taste some beers), including many California and west coast breweries in addition to some excellent national brewers. Last year this event drew around 5,000 people, so organizers are a little better prepared to handle the logistics, e.g., 3 times the port-a-potties as last year, multiple entrances, and expanding the event by another block down the mall.

February 27, 2015 to February 28, 2015 - St. Louis, Missouri, United States
2015 Centennial Beer Festival
Having said that a couple of changes this year. First of all we purchased the adjacent building and added about 5000 square feet of event space so we are able to expand the tasting rooms. The Local tasting floor which started with 5 local breweries has been expanding ever since and outgrown the room so now it will take up the entire 2nd floor. We expect more than 25 breweries this year. The domestic and international beer selections will expand as well and encompass the entire 1st floor. Finally we are able to offer more VIP tickets as we have dedicated the entire Malt House Cellar to that experience. As I’ve said, we will never be the GABF, nor do we aspire to be. We are happy with the hundreds of beer lovers that attend each session. Gives us more time to drink and talk about the beers. The other big development this year is the addition of 21st Street Brewer’s Bar which many saw a preview of last year. We now have 71 total taps in the building offering a majority of locally produced beer. 21st Street has really allowed us to experiment with a wide variety of beers and do a lot more events with the brewing community. No question this is a life long journey and the more I learn the more I realize the less I know. Don’t miss the Brew Master Dinner on Thursday night hosted by 2nd Shift’s Steve Crider. We are lucky to be working with him on this one and it will be special. Let me say that we are an all inclusive beer festival. Sometimes we get some opinions on micro vs macro, where cider fits in the mix and what really constitutes a local brewery. We strongly believe that regardless of the politics, beer, like wine, food and spirits are a way of bringing people together in our restaurants, bars and at our events. If you are new to the beer scene or if you are looking for something new after following beer for many years, this festival is for you. Include your friends, family and make add some new experiences. Finally some words of thanks. The brewers & distributors and their friends and family donate their time to pour the beer and without them it would not be possible or nearly as fun. Thanks to our supporting sponsors that have allowed us to continue to grow the festival. Thanks to the St. Louis Foodbank, whose Young Professional Board is partnering with us to volunteer at the festival and raise funds to feed the hungry. And of course, most importantly, thanks to all of you that continue to join us year after year, give us appreciated suggestions and as I hear most often, are one of the best festival crowds that the brewer’s meet all year. Have a Happy and Safe Holiday season and hope to see you in February. Jason Arnold-Founder

February 28, 2015 - Chicago, Illinois, United States
Day / Night of the Living Ales 2015
The national drink of Great Britain, cask conditioned ales have been served for centuries. Before brewers fell in love with artificial carbonation and filtering, beer was naturally conditioned by yeast in the cask, and served at a temperature warm enough to actually taste the beer. A properly served cask ale is neither cloudy, flat, nor warm; rather it is bright, with a gentle carbonation, and served at cellar temperature. Sample a vast array of different beers at our walk-around tasting featuring the best cask conditioned ales from Chicagoland breweries and specially selected guests. Food will be available for purchase. Casks are handled by the Chicago Beer Society’s own experienced cellarmen, trained in the UK to care for and serve real ale. Attendees will select from among the beers The Champion Real Ales of Chicagoland for 2015! Admission includes souvenir tasting glass, program & beer samples. All ticket sales and sessions chosen are final.

FARE Festival
FARE is a unique festival that brings together craft beer, small batch spirits, local wines, and some of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Beers from each of the breweries are being hand picked to bring what we think are some of their best offerings, including about a dozen firkins. A handful of brewers and representatives will be on hand as well to discuss their craft. Local, craft distillers will also be on hand to walk you through their fine beverages. Because you can’t spend hours drinking without good food, we’ve invited some of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia area to come out to the suburbs to give you a rare chance to try their incredible cuisine. This event is being put on by Fermented Productions in conjunction with the Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, a 100% volunteer firehouse. A portion of the proceeds to benefit the fire department.
