Cambridge Brewing Company's 24th Anniversry Party From CBC's website ...
Yes, you read that right, it was 24 years ago that Phil "Brewdaddy" Bannatyne opened up a little brewery right in Kendall Square.
This year's all-day bash with be held on Saturday, May 4th from 12pm – 1am. Again we’ll pull out all the stops to have the best party possible. It's set to be a massive tour de force of beer, food, and general conviviality.
We'll have CBC favorites like The Audacity of Hops and Biere de Miel as well as newer beers like Rye, Rye, Rocco and Pearls of Wisdom. And Will and the Brew Crew have brewed up a brand new beer in honor of the 24th Anniversary: it is tentatively being called "24." The full beer list is below.
And there's huge news from Chef David too. We will be smoking and roasting a whole pig on the patio grill to serve throughout the day! This isn’t just any pig either; this pig was raised on the spent grain from each brew day here at CBC! The pig comes from our friend Antonio Fontes, who owns a small, low key farm raising cattle and pigs.
Don't forget the Matt Berlin Band will be here from 6–9pm on the patio to keep tempo with the night.
So please join us for a pint (or several) on Saturday May 4th anytime, or all day, to celebrate. There's no cover and no tickets to buy. Just bring yourself, your friends and family, and your fondest CBC memories and I’ll see you then!

May 5, 2013 - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, United States
2013 Bock Festival & Goat Race The Sly Fox Bock Festival & Goat Race is held on the first Sunday of May every year, rain or shine. It has become one of the Philadelphia region’s favorite beer-focused celebrations, drawing crowds estimated in the 2,500 to 3,000 range to the Sly Fox Brewhouse & Eatery in Phoenixville in recent years.
A German menu is offered to complement what might be the largest offering of bock-style beers by any brewery in the United States at one time. Brewmaster Brian O’Reilly and his crew produce a mouth-watering lineup: Slacker Bock, Helles Bock, Instigator Doppelbock, two Eisbocks (usually Slacker and Instigator) and a Maibock. The day marks the release of the Maibock which is tapped immediately after the race and named in honor of the winner.
The festival takes place in front of the pub with a huge tent helping provide shade on what is usually a perfect spring day. The running of the ruminants is held from the rear of the building in which the pub sits down along a roadway to a finish line near the back of festival area, in front of a grassy hillside where early arrivals have staked out their place. Afterwards, some of the goats and their owners mingle with the crowd, delighting the many children in attendance with their families. Much more information (including photo galleries, directions, etc) - can be found at the official event website.

Beer, Dinner & a Movie: Army of Darkness w/Founders Brewery Nitehawk Cinema Presents: Army of Darkness
Beer, Dinner and a Movie with Founders Brewing Co.
Shop Smart, Shop S-Mart! Handsome hero Ash battles another army of the dead (this time in 1300 AD) in this brilliantly funny final installment of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead trilogy.
For Nitehawk’s May Beer, Dinner and a Movie, we’ve teamed up with Founders Brewing Co. to present Army of Darkness. This screening will include select delicious Founders drafts paired with a food menu inspired by the film. The best part? You’ll be served each course during the specific moments that inspired the film so you can experience edible sensations while watching the action unfold on-screen!
At the end of Evil Dead 2 we saw our beloved Ash (sans hand but still alive) get sucked into a swirling time-travel vortex that landed him and his Oldsmobile all the way back in 1300 AD. Army of Darkness picks up from this point as Ash becomes a slave-then-hero to the medieval masses as he and his “boomstick” have to, once again, battle the dead. The Necronomicon is back too as the tome that has the power to send Ash back home but it also continues to do what it does best: unearth those pesky dead. Hilarious, gory, and full of comic book-style special effects and brilliant one-liners, Army of Darkness is one of the true delights in horror. Hail to the King!
MENU with Beer Pairings by Founders Brewery

7th Annual Brewers Bazaar This is not just another beer festival. This one\\\'s unique for several reasons. One reason is its setting aboard the Avalon Riverboat. Overlook the beautiful St. Croix River in historic downtown Stillwater on a sunny Saturday afternoon in May while enjoying delicious craft brews. Another reason is its value. For only $35, you get 4 hours to sample some of the best regional beers poured directly from the brewers themselves. This year the event is scheduled to feature Lift Bridge, Surly, Summit, Brau Brothers, Flat Earth, Lake Superior, Rush River, The Herkimer, Lucid, Fulton, Staples Mills Brewing, Midwest Supplies Home Brewing, Finnegans, August Schell, Olvalde Farm & Brewing, Still-H2O and the St. Croix Valley Homebrewers Association. In addition, you\\\'ll get a commemorative pilsner glass and a brat. The final reason is its cause. This event is presented by the members of the Stillwater Sunrise Rotary Club. All the proceeds from this fun event help support our Club\\\'s many service projects.
Join us on May 18th for some beautiful scenery, live music by The Thundermen, great cheese from the Bass Lake Cheese Factory, raffle prizes, great conversations and of course plenty of excellent beer.
This is a popular event with limited space. We sold out in advance last year and we expect to do so again this year, so order your tickets now and don\\\'t be standing on the dock while the rest of us are enjoying the beer.

May 18, 2013 - Portland, Oregon, United States
Breakside 3rd Anniversary Party Sent by Scott @ Breakside:
"I want to announce that Breakside will be throwing a huge block party for our third anniversary on Saturday, May 18 from 12 until 7. The party will be at our NE Dekum brewpub and will feature live music, special release beers, and a good old fashioned barbecue. To celebrate the big day, we'll be pouring from all the draft lines inside plus an addition 8-10 beers outside. The outdoor beer garden will be open rain or shine, and the event is open to Breakside fans of all ages.
Here is what to expect beer-wise:
As has become tradition here, we will be releasing an equal number of beers as we are years old. So three years of business means three special anniversary beers. My (Ben's) anniversary ale is our first foray into the world of meat beers. Duck Duck Drunk Porter is a chocolate porter made with over 100 Muscovy ducks that we sourced through wild game supplier Nicky Farms and roasted in the wood-fired oven with our friends at Nostrana. Senior brewer Sam Barber, who joined Breakside in year two, has crafted a HopfenWeisse, a wheat beer that marries the yeast profile of a Bavarian weizen with citrusy American hops. Finally, Jacob Leonard and Andrew Horne, who have joined us in the last year, are releasing a Blood Orange Cascadian Dark Ale. Other drafts will include special barrel-aged releases, several beers from our beer "library" as well as the normal lineup of Breakside drafts.
The ticket package will be $15 for a commemorative tasting glass and 5 drink tickets for our outside tent.
As a party plus, we'll be releasing bottles of two special barrel aged beers. Bourbon Barrel-Aged Aztec is our most popular barrel-aged beer, and it is returning in 22 oz. bombers for the party. We will also be releasing New World Bruin for the first time in 750 ml Champagne-style bottles. This is our interpretation of a Flanders red ale that has been aging for the last year. We expect bottles of both beers to sell very quickly, so come early to get yours!"

Location: Breakside Brewery Hours: 12pm to 7pm Admission: $15 per person
