The 5% alcohol by volume canned Troy Pilsner comes in an aluminum 50 cl (16.9 oz) size labeled in Turkish. Pouring a very pale straw color, with a weak, grainy aroma, a light carbonation is visible. The soft mouthfeel accompanies a barely detectable malt flavor where a slight hop bitterness asserts itself on the tongue and lasts into the finish. Listed ingredients include water, malt, rice, sugar, CO2, hops and yeast. The can's bottom is stamped with the brewed-on date and the best-by date one year later. A colored thermometer indicator (Sagliginiza) shows when the serving temperature is in the correct range. Look for the Trojan Horse logo.
The bottled version of the Troy Pilsner comes
in a clear green bottle. as a result, there is a slightly skunky aroma
noticeable. This clear straw colored beers show plenty of carbonation and
produces a full mouthfeel. At 5% alcohol, it comes across with an evenly
balanced flavor where a slight malty sweetness leads and a subtle hop
bitterness rakes the tongue. The finish is dry and overall, very clean.
