From the brewery that made Chugs the Dog a famous face, Spanish Peaks, comes the bottled Monterey Pale Ale. A hazy, dark amber color, it yields both hoppy and malty aromas. Under the tan head lies a medium-bodied brew where the malty flavor starts with an early hop "bite". Later, a noticeable alcohol character combines with an intense, coarse hop bitterness that leads to a hoppy finish. This one might leave your taste buds ringing but I bet you can't drink just one.
