The Sapporo Brewery of Tokyo claims "Japan's Oldest Brand", the their "draft beer" bottles' lables carry the Japanese language character representing draught beer, or "nama biiru". The Sapporo Draft Beer shows a clear straw color, where a very dry character (rice?) accompanies a slight pale malt sweetness. The nice full mouthfeel yields to a procounced late, dry bitterness. This one can hold its own against some pretty serious spices in your oriental dishes.
