Lacking a freshness date but little else, the Black Tusk Ale from Whistler poured an impressive dark ruby color and produced a persistent, creamy white head. Leading with a deep malty aroma, the full-bodied brew offered an evenly balanced ,deep rich chocolately flavor followed by a dry malty finish. Overall, the lasting impression by this flavorful ale was very positive. No evidence of adjuncts was present in the 22 fluid oz. bottled product which was labeled "100% natural unpasturized".
