In the sleepy town of Richland, Washington the Jack'sons Sports Bar offers more than the usual fare of light beers in a smoke-filled poolhall. 12 taps are poised behind the medium-sized L-shaped wood and formica bar, surrounded by a mirrored ornate carved-wood barback. Three pool tables, electric darts, and two videogames fill the gameroom. Four booths along with multiple small wood and formica tables with green cushioned chairs provide the dining seating. Tall rectangular tables with similarly cushioned bar stools augment the available seating. A TV blasts its sounds from above the bar and through the lounge area. Framed sports prints and neon beer signs populate the walls as electric fans strive to move the air from the 15-foot ceiling. Cigars are sold and threaten the integrity of the breathable atmosphere.
Happy Hour runs Mondays through Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. Stand-out draught beers include Pyramid DPA, Guinness Stout, Pyramid Hefeweizen, Deschuttes Black Butte Porter, Red Hook IPA, and Alaskan Amber. After a hard day of abusing watercraft rented from TLC Watersports, Jack Sons Sports Bar offers just the relaxing elixirs needed to wind down gracefully and prepare for the next day's adventures.
