Guinness

The latest bottled product from Guinness to see U.S. distribution is their Guinness Draught. Inside, a nitrogen widget releases just enough gas to create that impressive cascading effect that the keg product is so famous for. This version pours with a creamy tan color with cascading waves of brown liquid forming under a thick tan head. After about 20 seconds the motion stops and the rich roasted aromas spring forth. The flavor yields a similar dry, roasted barley character, with the roasted aspect becoming more pronounced as the brew warms toward ambient temperature. Finally, a worthy use of high-technology.
