The bottled IPA from Davidson Brothers pours a clear dark amber color, topped by a short white head with plenty of carbonation. A hoppy aroma leads to a hoppy flavor where slight esters slowly come through. This medium-bodied brew begins with an early malty sweetness before the hop bitterness takes over. The non-malt flavors could be a result of the recipe's chosen yeast, which might be the Ringwood strain popular with many Eastcoast craft brewers who use the Peter Austin brewing systems.
