Slight sediment is visible through the wax-sealed 12-ounce bottles of the vintage October 1998 Brimstone Big Ale. A hazy, deep amber in appearance, its first impression is formed from the intense malty, estery aroma. Big and bold, with lasting estery/fruity flavors, this brew is reminiscent of classic "big" Belgian ales, especially the noticeable alcohol character in the finish.
