I'm looking for some Fat Tire Amber Ale brewed by New Belgium. I am willing to ship a case in exchange for this case. I also homebrew which I have some beers of my own( which includes a fat tire clone!). If anyone feels they have a good microbrew or homebrew which isn't available in this area. Please send some this way.. I'm a big beer nerd!!

First off, welcome to the boards. Hope you stick around.
Second off, are you only interested in Fat Tire? There are 3 outstanding breweries in Ft. Collins alone that don't make it out Philly-way. Odell's makes what I consider to be a far superior amber called 90 shilling (but, of course, each to his own), and Fort Collins Brewery is big on lagers, as well as their chocolate stout.
Third off, what's commercially available to you where you are that would be tradeworthy? Magic Hat? Brooklyn? Smuttynose? Newport Storm? Lemme know whatcha got.
And lastly.... did you really want an entire CASE of beer? Gonna be expen$ive to ship....

LOTS of great local beer in the Philly area to be had. Victory, Stoudts, McKenzie's, Yards, Troegs, Weyerbacher, Yuengling, etc. And I'd assume NJ brews like Ramstein & Heavyweight would be available - over the border if necessary. Not sure if brewpubs like Nodding Head bottle/growler or not. Not to mention the regionals like MH, Brooklyn & Smutty like you mentioned. Fantastic area of the country for beer trading. NOT only do we have alot of brewies but we have Flying Fish which is brewed in Cherry Hill, NJ just over a bridge.. Their beers have been far way better then most the previous poster noted. Check out the site, I'm going over to the brewery satruday for get a special edition of Farmhouse summer ale in a growler( if its still available).
As for a case, well as I was looking on the web last night, I noticed the cost of shipping a casr was about the same cost as buying one, I guess I'm really looking for a six or two.

I so would love to have a beer-swap with you, and we wouldn't even have to ship...my husband works in KOP, right by the mall, and I am POSITIVE he could meet-up somewhere down that way - maybe Iron Hill, Westchester? If you're on that side of Philly. I should have asked that first, huh?!
Anyway, my husband brewed some TOTALLY AMAZING amber ale recently - it's organic, too - reminds me of "Red Feather", if anyone remembers that wonderful brew from a ways back. We'd LOVE to share it and get some feedback , + or - .
He brewed that batch just for me - ( : - I've always been an amber ale and amber lager nut. I like VERY hoppy IPAs as well. (Couldn't tell that from my user id, could you?)

Wow! A thread back from the dead. Yes, I'm responding to a post made almost 18 months ago.
TETO, but I wouldn't put Flying Fish above many (actually any) breweries that were listed as available in the greater Philly area. Very average craft brewer, imo. Some decent drinkers, in my experience, but nothing to get excited over and trade cross-country for. YMMV.
