I would like to try one of the schnieder weisse beers that are not carried here in canada!
Like the aventius http://www.schneider-weisse.com/bynb/fr_main.htm

If that is possible?
Or a local beer from a local brewery, something that is never exported.

Actually that is a better idea
PM your mailing address
I will send the Directors Bitter
and compile a list of favorite beer and styles
and from that you can find something local that I would like.

But please be certain that is is not exported.

I am waiting for your PM

Weiss Glasses

Kevin:

I have been trying to locate some huge weiss glasses (1.0 liter or so) in the U.S. but have not had luck finding any. I have spoken to some people that have been to Germany and they have indicated that they are readily available. Some have found them in used glassware shops for less than one dollar. Do you have any good contacts for such a thing?

Not any contacts, no, but I've seen them around. If nothing else, you could probably order one from the ever-popular Hofbrauhaus in Munich (they've got a web store at http://www.hofbraeuhaus-shop.de/index.php?fc=0&lang=EN)

Best,
KT

Unforunately not. If you want to confirm the address, drop me a line again at cmgray80@yahoo.com. It has been awhile, hasn't it?

Looking ahead, ever heard of the Rothaus brewery? It's a Black Forest fav - actually someone else on these boards pointed me in their direction. Good stuff.

Thanks again,
KT
