I think I prefer the more "brutal" hockey of that era.

Ever hear Shatner "singing" Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? First time I heard it I was laughing for about 20 minutes

Shatner's version of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and Leonard Nimoy's version of "Proud Mary" rank up there in the upper pantheons of pure camp.

I have heard the Bonanza theme (Yes, there are lyrics*) sung by Lorne, Michael, Dan and Purnell. I think it may have been on one of those blooper shows in the 80s. Take my word the instrumental was far superior.
