Agreed.

This is SN Pale turned up a notch. Great balance.

I even prefer it over my 2 favorite IPA's, GLBC's "Commodore Perry", & Clipper City's, "Loose Cannon". CP has a dry aftertaste that bothers me at times. And the the latest LC I have bought has been light struck. Torpedo finishes clean. Like the SN pale does, except with a bit more hop bite.

Good job, Sierra Nevada.

There are 3 in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and one in Mad-town (as I know you often travel I-94). Check out their site for addresses. Though be forewarned: The Winterfest, as the name implies, is seasonal.

Heading to Blue Gray today. I worked ahead so I could take today off and come in around noon tomorrow. My accountant comes and I guess I should be there then to pay my people. But then it's back to the Blue Gray Fri. night and Saturday. I've got to stop by Old Dominion this morning to pick up a keg of the Baltic Porter from Favio.

SN Torpedo!

Well, a Torpedo slushie -- the local good paint store is having some cooler problems. I capped the bottle and went to pour -- dribble. Then the slush started to flow from the bottle neck! Yah. Called the store to let 'em know.

Beyond that, and after a little thawing -- and I'll have to allow the rest of the sixer to thaw slowly, I like this. It's a cross between the Pale Ale & Celebration (I can see the similarities to Celeb that some have been reporting). But I was having a Hop Hankering, and this hits the spot. I'll try to give a better assessment on a little more settled bottle soon.

Weihenstephaner Vitus Weizenbock

This is a great beer with all the
attributes of a Hefeweizen and
the malty sweetness of a Doppel
and some spicey hops. Yum.

S. Glad you found the Torpedo.
Even if it was frozen, better than
no Torpedo at all.

Sounds like eveyone is enjoying the Torpedo. I asked my local paint store to look into getting some. They are trying to. I'll let you know when I try it. Sounds great.

This afternoon, homebrewed
Hefeweizen with FIL.

This evening, Samuel Smith's
The Famous Taddy Porter
with the Valentine's Day pizza.
A very fine porter this one is.
Prit near black in color. Coffee
and chocolate notes in aroma
and taste, just right mouth feel.
Tastes like it should be more
than 5.0 abv. I'm glad it's not.

regional Sumatra's, French
roasted, brewed in the
coffee press. Excellent cup.
