I hope you could taste the subtleties in the beer, in the food then! Man... must have been some meal.
These days I've been into Kapuziner Bavarian Hefeweizen. Local paint store has pint bottles on sale for $1.49, and it's terrific stuff!

Just polished off another Shiner 98. Man, that beer's really growing on me! I need to stock up before it's gone for good.

Had a Yuengling, now a Victory Whirlwind. Just put a 1/6 of Flying Fish Farmhouse and a 1/6 of Victory HopDevil into the meister.
Life is good.

well you got me thinking about the 4- grains and Hop Hog also by Lancaster Brewing Co.
The Hop Hog sells as an India Pale Ale and the 4- grains sells as a Pale Ale. Both are very drinkable.
The Hop Hog which I prefer seems more like a well balanced pale ale, while the 4-grains reminds me more of a lager. The Hop Hog goes down smoother and has a bit of a hop spice, which I find not to be over powering.
The 4- grains seems to bring out more malts than hops in it's taste, which is why I think of it as a lager rather than a pale ale.
I'm not a beer expert but I hope this helps and will lead people to search for these fine beers.

Tried Boulevard Wheat on tap tonite. Not very good imo. The bartenders were serving this beer in a frozen pint glass with no head didn't help.

I've had both my American Pale Ale and Champagne Wheat brews. Tart and refreshing for a hot summer day.

RDW, the worst that can happen is that you have to actually 'buy' beer.
Drinking: Coal Porter, American Amber
Primary:
Secondary: Saison
Conditioning: Pale Ale, Bohemian Pilsner Lager
In queue: Orange Tripel, Imperial Stout, IPA
