Yikes!, How are you holding up? Some of my family and inlaws I could take visiting for a long time, some I could take for minutes or hours only.

They are all great people, but there is one brother I plan on exacting some revenge for all his shitty comments over the years on the quality of my spoken French. Which is admittedly poor when I'm sober but I'm sure is fluent after a few glasses of wine.
None of the 4 speak any English, but they do enjoy eating and drinking, and 3 of them have never been to the states before. We've got a beach house for a week, then up to Lynchburg VA for a couple of days to see friends, and then back to NM.

And if they start to bother me I can always go to work in Texas for a few days.

Since you listed it twice, I figured as much!

Drinking the last of the subpar Otter Creek White Sail Ale. Stopped at the paint store on the way home to stock up with "crossover" beers for a weekend bbq party:

Butternuts Heinneweisse
Stoudt's Pils
Victory Helles
Bluepoint Toasted Lager
Saranac Summer Sampler
Magic Hat #9

oh, and for me,
Brooklyn Summer
and a couple bottles of Brooklyn Local 1
(if you can get this, get it. It's worth the $8 for a 750ml)

Hopefully that's a good enough summertime mix for the crowd...

My sister and BIL are bringing their SIX ( ) kids out to visit this week. I'm headed to the paint store today to stock up. The local right now is stocking:

Titan IPA
Denver Pale Ale
Victory Hop Devil
Victory Prima Pils
Rio Blanco Pale Ale
Full Moon Rye Pale Ale
Fireman no. 4 Golden Ale
Widmer Broken Halo IPA
Widmer Drop Top Amber
Full Sail Pale and Amber

And I have a few odds and ends already in the fridge:

SN Porter
Shiner 98
St. Arnold's Summer Pils
SN Summerfest

And I still have a couple sixers of Anchor Bock and Hofbrau Maibock I've been greedily hoarding since the spring.

The house may be overrun by galloping hordes of rugrats, but at least us adults will be fortified.

Today it's Bill Madden's Molotov Hoptail IIPA (via growler from the brewpub), paired with sweet and sour shrimp.

a very pale ale brewed with only 2 row pale malt, northern brewer, and hallertau hops. I brewed this on 7/16/06, and bottled it on 7/19/06. O.G. 12%brix.

this beer is as good as it was 10 months ago: good clarity, nice carbonation, mellow and crisp at the same time. . . .I wish all of my pale ales turned out this good.

Eh, it's not so bad. I'm sitting here right now sipping on a cool one, watching some of the older ones build "tents" in the living room. The cacophany is deafening; still, I grew up in a big family, so it brings back memories. They're good kids.

The Hofbrau was absolutely outstanding. I'm gonna have another with supper later tonight.

Amish Four Grain Pale Ale by Lancaster Brewing Co.

I wish I kept it in the fridge longer but it goes down nice.
