An event intended to attract off-season tourists to Santa Fe has been called off by the promoter who says he underestimated what it would take to pull off the Ski ‘N Brew festival.
Heath Concerts had received $25,000 from the city’s lodgers-tax fund to hold the event mixing beer tastings and discounted skiing late this month or in February.
The promoter says he will try again next year.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports Mayor David Coss supports the delay if it makes for a successful event.
