Do you have a topic in mind Vance? (I agree, a bit sparse of late with the posts)

I used to check in quite often, but not as much anymore since:
a) it's my busy season at work.
b) apparently were all professional brewers who don't need to talk about it anymore.
c) there's never any discussion about recipes or uploads on a recipe that turned out great for others to brew.
d) no one can join the site as a new member nor are there any moderators anymore so it's obviously a dying site.

On a positive note, were talking about the lack of activity so that's a good thing.

I had a recipe that went well! Someone posted an ESB recipe that turned out great! I'm about half-way through my bottles and dread running out. Here's what I had:

7# Light LME
1# Crystal 40L
.25% Roasted Barley
2 oz Golding [60]
1 oz Willamette [20]

Standard ale yeast (dry packet, US-05 I think?)

Really enjoyable

Indeed. As long as this site lives, there is hope.

Very True, so does anyone know what we are not accepting any new members?

Having been a long time member here,Join Date: 06-23-2003, I can tell you that this is a cyclical thing. It seems to relate to season of the year as not many people brew during the summer. Also, at different times we see older members drop off in their posting then new blood comes in and we see an increase in activity. Besides, because of the Nevermind thread, federal law won't let this place die.

If I could just devote more of my working day to cruising beer sites I'd be more active.

I sent a PM to Admin asking what's up and got a prompt response that basically this is only temporary due to software upgrades and increased security. Once finished new members will be able to join again.
