that´s the first mention of any of the penn beers i´ve seen on here. all are excellent, but as is usually the case, in my opinion, the microbrews flagship brand is the weakest of the lot.
penn now makes a "weizen bock", but i think it´s only available on premises in may.
I went to PA yesterday to pick up some beer. I was astonished to find that in one weekend my sixtel of Sunshine Pils was emptied out at the beach. Anyway here is what I got yesterday:
Growlers:
Pikeland Pils - Sly Fox
Pale Ale - Sly Fox
Prima Pils - Victory
Sixtels:
Sunshine Pils - Troegs
Farmhouse - Flying Fish
Pils - Legacy
I'm on quite the pils binge these days. Anyway the Sunshine and the Farmhouse will go to the beach kegerator tomorrow and the Legacy may join the Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale that I have on the home kegerator or go into reserve for the next tap that comes up dry. Tonight after work I hope to enjoy one of the growlers. Probably the Sly Fox Pils. It is excellent.
What did you think of the Indian Brown? I'm in my office right now. 10:30 AM and drinking water. Had coffee earlier. I'm heading to the beach at noon. I'll be drinking Sunshine Pils and Flying Fish Farmhouse there. Last night I drank the growler of Sly Fox Pikeland Pils. It was remarkable. I tried to get a sixtel of it but they were out of it in sixtels. A hoppy pils, but refreshing.
