Exclamation Community Brew #1 - ESB

please don't post in this thread for the time being, it's for recipes and shipping instructions only.

edit: as an introduction, those planning on participating need to have six bottles of the following recipe available to ship on/about July 1st. we will be shipping two bottles each to three different brewers. if you participate, you will then recieve six bottles in return, to evaluate and enjoy. you will be doing your own evaluations of the four beers in front of you (your own, plus the other three), and hopefully gain some insight into how differing processes produce differing results.

so please, brewers, take copious notes, and plan on sending them along with the beers...

OK We need to exchange addresses, those who are worried about personal security can PM their addresses to Danno.
I'm not sure how the selection of trades will happen, But I think we can figure it out later.

Ok when you send out your beers, it is good practice to bubble wrap each bottle so that the do not clang together during shipping. Also since each recipient will be getting two bottles, I would also pack wadded paper around them to further insolate the bottles from damage.

DO NOT send Bottles through the United States Postal Service, as it is a felony send Alcohol through the US mail (and they would prosecute). Send it UPS, FEDEX or DHL as they have a don't ask, don't tell policy. Have them mark the package Fragile. If asked what is in there, answer yeast samples.

Also after the beer has been shipped, we can use this thread for the evaluations. But for the time being, it will be locked and stickied.

Thanks to all the participants for making this a reality.
