Merry last pre-Christmas weekend
Merry last pre-Christmas weekend to everybody. Now's the time to do all that last minute shopping you haven't finished . I've been busy hitting the sales: stocking up on wine and beer for the weekend, gettiing munchies lined up, etc. Now it's time to go sit out on the front porch in the sunshine, drink a beer or 3 and think back about what a truly wonderful year it has been.
I entered my first competition and one beer made it to the finals. I hired a bunch of people from across the country who all brought me some of their local beers(thanks undergradbrewer, wherever you are). We took a beercation to Maine this summer and had a great time pairing different beers with lobster at each meal of the day(Allagash White is great with lobster omelette for breakfast). But the highlight of my year in beer was spending a weekend with Chazwicke and his wonderful wife Michelle at the Maine Brewer's Guild Festival
