George Killian's Launches Search for the Ultimate Employee

Selected Candidate to Tour Country as Brand Representative

CHICAGO, Nov. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Have friends ever described you as the "life of the party" or "spontaneous?" If so, George Killian's might have the job for you. This December Killian's is searching for an individual to travel the country and meet beer drinkers, serving as the ultimate brand advocate.

George Killian brewed his original Irish Red recipe in 1864 for one simple reason: to drink and enjoy with friends. As the brand's number of friends grew over the years, the family continued in the spirit of its founder, making it a personal mission to visit Killian's fans in America. In keeping with George's tradition of celebrating with fans and friends over a beer, the Killian's team will search for someone who can take this tradition to the next level - sharing the spirit of George Killian's across the country.

"We're looking for someone who embodies Killian's friendly, social nature - someone who can embrace the beer's storied heritage and become the face and voice of the brand," said George Killian's Brand Director Libby Mura. "This is an awesome opportunity for an outgoing person who wants to meet a lot of people and experience this country in a unique way - over a beer."

The full-time position, based in Chicago, carries a competitive compensation package. Applicants must be willing to travel and work non-traditional hours. Interested job-seekers should e-mail their resume along with their personal Twitter handle to GeorgeKilliansIrishRed@gmail.com. Applications will be accepted through December 14.

The brand is looking for a candidate with the following skills:

-- Improvisation/acting experience, comfortable in front of a camera
-- Not afraid to strike up conversations with new friends
-- Self-reliant, dependable and responsible
-- Organized, self-motivated
-- Able to make the magic happen with little direction
-- Content producer with creative tendencies The position will quickly become a career experience unlike any other in the field of marketing, advertising and brand advocacy. About George Killian's Irish Red

George Killian's Irish Red is an authentic Irish lager based on an original family recipe that dates back to 1864 in Enniscorthy, Ireland. George Killian first brewed a ruby beer that later became the inspiration for George Killian's Irish Red. He used only pure spring water and the finest caramel malts roasted longer and slower to give his brew a rich red color and distinctive taste. The beer is still known for its rich amber color and thick, creamy head. More information is available at www.GeorgeKillians.com or at www.Facebook.com/GeorgeKillians.

When Coors first started brewing Killian's, it was halfway decent. It was also an ale when they first brewed it. I was stationed in Arizona at the time and remember the ads for it.

It was one of my gateway beers many, many years ago. I had one recently and it's just an insipid shell of it's former half-assed self.
