Weird Beer Mix by Mistake.

On Tuesday nights my son and I go to Scooters Wild Turkey Saloon to do some bowling on the Wii. This is your basic macro beer bar, they think Samuel Adams is something real special. I do appreciate them having at lease one beer on tap I like to drink. They will rotate the SA seasonal selections which happens to be SA Oktoberfest at this time. While we are bowling I purchase a pitcher of SA and a pizza.

Getting to my subject....three quarters the way from filling my pitcher the SA tank runs out so the have to do a switch. When I went to the bar to pay for my pitcher I notice the bartender had my pitcher under the Michilob Amber Bock tap. I said to her is this SA Oktoberfest ? Because that is what I ordered. Oh yes that is what it is, she said. I said but I saw you filling it with Amber Bock. Oh no I was pull on this tap, pointing to the SA Oktoberfest.

I know what I saw because of the color and after tasting it I knew I had a mix of SA Okt & Amber Bock.

The owners where there but I said nothing and just drank my weird concoction of Amber Bock & SA Okt. . What would you have done? It was not horrible tasting but It was not what I had come to drink.

I, personally, would have said something to the owners. Also, I wouldn't have a)drank the mixed beer, nor b)paid for the mixed beer.

One thing I just can't stand is a liar, which obviously this waitress was. I would have also let the ownership know that I don't patronize places where I cannot trust the servers, and then would have stood by my word. (Unless, of course, they had gone out of their way to impress me that they really wanted my continued business.)

If it's a bar that I patronize regularly and get good service, I would have done the same thing you did. Chalk it up to an experiment and see if it's any good. But if I've ever been on the edge about the place, I think I would have refused to pay for it and make them pour me another one while I watched.

I would have a word with owners. What the bartender did was unethical at best, illegal at worst.

This was not done on purpose. The taps are really close together. She either was not paying attention to what she was doing or forgot what I had ordered. Most likely just was not paying very close attention to what tap she was pulling. Most likely this would of not happen if there was not brake between fills. I will next time watch from beginning to end my pitcher being filled. Hopefully I don't get caught at the end of a tank.

For sure I will say something if happens again. She screwed up and I let her off the hook this time.
