I noticed a lack of activity on the site, so I thought I'd at least try to throw something on and try my hand at adding a poll (never done that before!). So pick one, ale or lager. Also, feel free to post your favorite or most recent beer.
I've been enjoying Founders Dirty Bastard lately. |
I went with ale as there seem to be more available on the store shelves at any given moment.

Dittos. F'rinstance, this weekend I enjoyed a D.O.R.I.S. :D :D
|
oooooh! How was that? I've been wanting to try it.
|
Me too. Though I had a nice set of German beers over the holiday weekend.
All of them were lagers. |

It was pretty awesome! Nice and malty/roasty with a good amount of coffee and caramel flavour and no indication of the alcohol ... until you finish off a bomber and then try to stand up quickly. lol |
Breakfast stout here I come.
|
I brew mostly ales but I really do love the range of lagers from Pilsners to dopplebock.
|
I like Ale, because most lagers here in Denmark are not that special.
But we have a nice German type pub in Aarhus, where I work, and they have a nice selection of German Larger' like Rauch Beer, and Keller Beer. Dino |
How can I pick one? This just ain't right.....

Awww... Skaht ... did someone somewhere in your past tell you that life was fair? I'm sorry. :P |
And I especially love the either/or beers like hefeweizen, kolsch and alt.

I've been having a hard time finding a wheat beer that really struck home for me. Oberon is enjoyable, and Leinenkugel Summer Shanty was a good lawn mower beer. Got any suggestions for a solid wheat beer?
|
Malty, if you're looking for a brewing challenge, brew a roggenbier. Like a weizen but with rye instead of wheat. Give it a nice long protein rest, and have lots of rice hulls on hand.

No. But choosing between ales and lagers is downright criminal!!! :D |
