Hey all, I know I haven't been here in a while (not even lurking), but I just wanted to let everyone know that we finally (after two years of trying) got our funding and have started building McClellan's Grill and Brewing Co. in Cañon City:D . Everyone is invited to come down and visit as soon as we open (mid July probably) or sooner if you just want to check the place out. My brewery should be installed mid to late March or early April.

Also, if any of you know about a 7 bbl direct fire kellte that is not being used, let me know.

Hope everyone has been well and your projects are taking shape and your beers are going down smooth.

Slàinte,
Jeff Lockhart

Cool. I have yet to make it to Canon City. Closest I've been so far was Wahlsenburg. Now I've got an excuse for making it a little farther west! Best of luck getting up and running.

Hey folks,
We are building night and day, but have fallen behind schedule.
It is looking like the end of July/ mid Aug. but we should be selling beer sooner than that. As soon as my brewery is in place( 2wks?) and the feds sign off, 21 days later, beer is served:D

Slàinte,
Jeff

Congrats on getting your place up and going, it is not an easy task to get as far as you have and the road ahead is still being paved. I wish you all the best!

As for a direct fire kettle, check your PM's as I am sending you some information of a few folks who should be able to help you out.

You come visit Denver or Ft. Collins, and you can bet I'll return the favor. :)

Deal. I was wondering if indeed there are tours given at Boulder Beer. (or any microbrewery , for that matter)
I went on one of the BMC's brewery tours years ago and coudn't figure out how it smelled so good while they were making it, and where did all that taste go?

All 3 Fort Collins microbreweries offer tours. New Belgium's is probably the best, but they're all very good. Wonder what hitting all 3 in a day would be like...
