View Full Version : Anyone tried using Torani Italian syrup?

I was at a coffee shop today and saw all of those Torani Italian flavoured syrups. It made me think about using these in a batch of beer.

Has anyone tried this? Could they be used as a fermentable? According to one website, these syrups contain only natural flavour, pure cane sugar and purified water.

I know some Belgian beers are regularly served with syrup added after the pour - that's about it.

They should be fermentable, but I'd expect the flavour left over afterwards to be quite a bit different to when it's mixed with sugar. I'd add them after serving, as Fret mentioned.
