Please be careful with the cartoons. I would hate for somebody to protest at your embassy. Maybe a lover of wine or liquor thiks that you are trying to say that your drink is superior.

you're right, I hope I didn't offend any of the pseudo beers out there... I specifically apologize to the new Michelob Ultra Amber...

I think you might have offended Bud Select... no,wait, that crap offended me!

they can tint it amber, blue, purple or pink polka dot for all i care. It will still taste like 2y/o dirty dishwater to me and that is a bit of an insult to the dishwater, my apologies. Do they really think that their $2.5 mil pre 30 sec. slot during the super bowl would convert me.

Nope, they think it will convert the beer idiots who think Bud Light has too much flavor for them.

Speaking of BL, when some day I get my kegerator done I plan to labelone tap BL for a family party, but have that corny actually filled with water. Two of my brothers drink that crap,so I think it would be a funny joke.

I have decided that from now on, I am going to encourage people I know to drink macros. That way, the small craft brewers will still be able to maintain the quality of the small batches they are making, and there will be more good stuff for me to drink.
In the end, it all comes down to what is best for me.

It's like the rest of life, all about balance.... can you buy enough from the macros to keep them going or do you need to share the info with just enough people to keep the macro going? And, how do you determine how many people that is?? Oooo... I'm giving myself a headache...think I'll have a HB!:)

You don't need to encourage me to drink macros. I'll take a Bud Select any day. I haven't had too many of what you call micros that I like.

Keep trying them BigHead. I think you'll find some that you like or possibly after drinking them for a while, you might find your current drink to be lacking . But like we always say here on the board: Drink what you like. By the way, welcome to the board!

Add just a slight amount of Guinness, Beamish, or some other stout to that corny, and it will change the color to be very very close to Bud/Bud Light. That way they'll actually drink it before they discover the substitution. Or they may tell you it's the best Bud Light they've ever had!

Can't do that...that would be too close to BL, there'd be no joke there

I do have to say that I agree with you guys about Bud Light. If the good Lord had wanted beer to be low calorie, he would have made it that way. I can't drink any lite beer. They all leave like a funny after taste in my mouth.

That aftertaste is from the urine they apparently use. I try not to drink that stuff whenever possible. ;)
The only two light beers I can honestly say that I'll drink are Sam Adams Light (which is a decent beer; not really a "light" beer but a lighter beer) and Amstel Light (which is only barely tolerable at best). Gimme something with flavor, dangit!
Time to run - gotta feed my beer's addiction...

A weird thing to note: BL, or Butt Wipe as we so affectionately call it, and Coors Light give me bad heartburn. It’s kind of like constantly burping up hydrofluoric acid. They also give me the beer squirts more than any other brews.

I don;t know maybe. I live near Syr and one of my friends plays hockey with the goalie. I can't believe he wouldn't drink Bug when they paid for his ice time. My friend works for Bud too,

I have very simple criteria for drinking macro brews. There can be no other beer available for less than $5 a pint AND the macro has to be less than $1.50 a pint. If both aren't true, I go home.
Sorry, I haven't been able to erase the CS and finance majors yet.

But, while we're on the subject of beer-related flatulence, I used to call "Fat Tire" "Fart Tire" instead, 'cuz it gave me the worst gas imaginable....even my dog would run and hide....

Hey BigHead, you and I need to come clean but first my apologies to rest of my friends here at Realbeer. I should have addressed this guy sooner.
Other than I wouldn't drink AB product while playing hockey for a team they sponsored, what is my or yours problem? Would you be carrying on this way had I been a nondrinker playing for Bud Ice? I don't believe so. Is it that you just don't like hockey?
Please let the board remain calm and decent. If you want to engage in a battle of wits via PM, please do so. I should inform you that I will breaking one of my own rules if I do. I try not to attack an unarmed person in this type of battle, but for you I might make an exception.

I have always liked Toles. He was with the Buffalo News when I lived up there.

I don't think it is cool for you take ice time with that team and refuse to drink their beer. It is slap in the face to all AB employees. I am going to keep coming around to keep you honest.

Every time I try to go to the Washington Post site, by link or straight there, my computer locks up. I must have a conservative computer.

Frankly I see AB products as a slap in the palate of every real beer drinker, but I dont stalk AB brewers online to complain about it. Live and let live.
