Just found out my good friend has a welder and his dad works at a welding shop... Horay cheap scrap metal and a free welder to use!!!

My friend said he woudl do it but the welds woudl be crappy, but hey i dont really care at this point =] Now to save up some money for the pumps if i do a 1 tier and the buckets

if he's got a welder, most likely he's got a grinder too... you can always clean up an ugly weld, as long as it's welded right...

Yeah, I am not a good welder. I am a good grinder. I should get a rebate on welding wire, as 90% of what I put on comes right back off 10 minutes later.

you may need to do a sanitary weld if it's going to be used for beer, depending on what your welding and what it is being used for? normally in any beverage or food facility anything that comes in contact with the product must have a sanitary weld.
if your just making a beer tree (i think thats what they're called) and your welds are not that good , bevel the steel at the seems (or what will be a seem) it'll give you a stronger weld.
