Homemade Salsa Baby!

4-6 pounds of fresh tomatos, diced
1/2 cup of chopped cilantro
4 serranos, chopped
8 jalepenos, chopped
1/2 purple onion, diced
Juice from 1 1/2 limes
Salt to taste (about 1-2 teaspoon)

tips:
mix salt with peppers b/f you add them, that way you can 'see' that the salt is evenly distributed.
Use more serranos and fewer jalepenos for more heat.
Add some diced bell pepper or chopped avaocado for something a little different

Yamaha, how could you not put garlic in salsa? your recipe looks almost exactly like what I make all summer...

except, I pick up two heads of garlic from the grocery store, slice enough of the top off each one to expose the cloves, pour over a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and roast at 325º for 30 minutes or so...

I also add 3-4 bell peppers of different colors...

oh yeah, and celery salt instead of plain salt...

Personally I would have to go with late afternoon early summer evening, a nice cigar (Macanudo), a homebrew, and either the latest copy of BYO or a good book.

For me that right there is about as good as it gets.

Well how about a beer float with a home brewed stout and a home made ice cream, a good vanilla or perhaps an amertto. Last summer the gent who writes a beer column for our paper ran a beer float reciepe with a picture of one.

you know, i did make a guinness ice cream a while back. saw it on the food channel. it was pretty good i must say. as far as a float, personally i dont know if that would be for me. but hey, im always willing to trying something new.
