Yall...

I am currently working to start a new brewing enterprise to be located in the Myrtle Beach area of SC....to be called Swamp Fox Brewing Company(micro/craft brewer...not brew pub)

I am looking for a few key people to join my team. I'm looking for 2-3 entrepreneurial spirited individuals who would like to be involved with such an ambitious project. I am looking for a passionate brewmaster to fill one of these key positions. Also would like to have someone with a strong background in business and finance. Essentially I need expertise in business, finance, sales and brewing. This is a ground floor opportunity offering equity ownership in the new venture. My goal is to begin filling our first bottles and kegs in 2007.

Let's put together a winning team and build a great brewing operation that produces some of the best beer on the planet! That's my mission!!

You might want to post this over at www.probrewer.com

That being said, I have 10 years of professional brewing experience, so if you want to pick my brain about anything, pm me and I'd be happy to help.

Good luck to ya. I am a native of the Pee Dee area (Latta, SC, to be exact) and I would love to see microbrews take off down there. I am always saddened when I visit my family and the selection is so limited. I usually have to go with a Sam Adams (nothing wrong with that) and a couple Summers ago I did get to try the Palmetto Brewing Co's Pale Ale, which was pretty good.

Most of my buddies from college that still live in the South are unyielding macro-brew drinkers, will not even try anything outside of the Bud/Coors/Miller family. Seems to be a cultural thing.

I have been out of touch with recent trends in the Southeast, however. Are micros making a dent down there at all?

Would love to know how your business turns out. Please keep me/us posted. Thanks.

I hope you succeed. You have at least one microbrewery customer here.

skipsaw>> Palmetto Brewing Co. in Charleson makes fine beers. A new brewer showed up in Charleston in 2005 named Charleston Brewing Co. Their website is www.charlestonbrewing.com . Last I checked, the webpage was still under construction. One other microbrewer in Greenville SC named Thomas Creek. I am not sure if RJ Rockers in Spartanburg is selling bottled beer for retail or not. The only other microbrewery I know of is Kind Ale in Mauldin SC, but they are scarse. I had Kind ale on tap once at the Rhino room in Columbia but it did not sell well and quickly dissappeared. I have had all of the above brewer's products except beers from RJ Rockers. All are good.
