this is probably due more to my impatience than the stores not having it but, i can't find a female to match, this is going on my wash basins in my basement. i need to make a drain for my sinks, wanted to use pvc, so far all i have found is unthreaded fittings which are too big or too small! i am about to go to autozone and get radiator hose and see if that will fit. i would still like to use pvc first, there is a plumbing supply company that i haven't tried yet, maybe that will be first. any one else encounter this stupid problem?p.s live in saint louis where the help at home depot and lowes is miserable.

Most white PVC is solvent weld (no threads) There are threaded fittings just not as many. Is your fitting 1.75 inside diameter? Standard PVC goes .5, .75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2, 3, 4. It's sized by the inside diameter of the pipe that will fit in it. If your fitting is measuring 1.75 on the outside its probably an 1.5 fitting. If that's the case you should be able to find something just go to a different hardware store.
If all else fails Galvanized pipe fittings will usually line up just fine on PVC they have the same thread.

Did you find it? I needed the same thing for sinks I use during the weighin after our tournaments and ended up buying them at home depot. I made a coulple of trips walking back between pvc pipe fittings and sink departments, but I found it. If your HD is as mixed up in the pvc fitting dept. as mine was...good luck!

Sure do remember that one... but it brings up a more recent image after seeing Heather Graham roller skating to it bare ass nekkid in "Boogie Nights".

If it's only a 1.75" might explain why y'all might be getting those spam mails for pharmaceuticals...

I know one that'll be glad to accomodate. She's kinda ugly and fat but, boy, she can cook, and she'll never leave you over the size of your pvc.

yes! i found it, went to a smaller store(ace IS the place) and got the help i needed. they also had no problem cutting pvc to smaller lengths. home crappo only sold it in 10 foot lengths. and their help bites. but thnx for the suggetions.and the joke,as if my manhood needed any!haha. i call him the one inch monster.

I do some part time work at an ACE hardware. We're a helluva lot more helpful than Home Depot. I only go to HD if I know EXACTLY what I want and where to find it.
