I've had the same thing happen.

I just bent the tube back and forth 50-60 times and it sorta cracked up the ice. Then I put about 20 lbs of pressure on the keg and it blasted it right out.

since my converted chest freezer is in my garage, I used to run into this problem all the time in the winter. (Just because it's -11ºF here in Minnesota doesn't mean I have to quit drinking beer..)

Since your beer tube is most likely 3/16" ID, it's very narrow and will thaw in very short order. I'd have frozen picnic taps, I'd just set them in the chest freezer (45º or so) and they'd thaw out in less than 10 minutes...

Before you ask, I'll tell you my chest freezer thermostat is switchable, in the winter I keep a small, 800 watt heater inside my chest freezer to keep everything warm. Does a great job...
