My wife and I have a chance to spend a few days in Northern NC around New Years.

Proximity to great brewpubs and bars... where’s the best place to stay?

Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro… ???

Where are the best beer stores in the area and maybe southern VA?
