anyone have experience or ideas about how to patch a pin-sized hole in a cornie?
its on the side, near the top seam. My first though is to JBWeld or other epoxy over it.

From my experience trying to patch radiators(with stuff like JBWeld - I own an '89 Bronco) I say,"good luck" but then....... a bolt from the blue....
If you can pinpoint the leak why not drill it out to screw size and then thread in a bolt with a rubber washer? Dunno if it'll work but it seems reasonable to try if the epoxy route doesn't work. I could be hallucinating on this one too since I just finished cutting the lawn(heat index gotta be 105F) while drinking 3 pints of my 7% Abv IPA.
I guess the advantage to trying to patch a corny is that you can easily get your hands on the inside too...so if the JBWeld were applied on the inside(the pressure side) it might work better.

On the other hand, they're cheap enough nowadays to be considered disposable. Is it worth all the time and effort to patch the corny over buying a good one? A ruined batch of beer will almost pay for a reconditioned corny.

J.B. Weld may be the way to go.
Orrrrrrr.....
Make friends with a welder or the like and pay him off with some...
...BEER!
This has been the way I have gotten the bulk of my kegging and brewing equipment. It seems to work pretty well. The folks I deal with don't mind at all doing me favors. Networking is definitely a good way to get things done. If it is not worth fixing, for whatever
reason, it isn't that expensive to replace.

My father and I fixed a couple of gas tanks with this method. You can get stainless hardware and food grade washers if you want to. Time and money spent it might be cheaper to buy a new one like someone esle posted.
