Anyone out there in WI who can lay hands on the Belgian Red, Raspberry Tart, Apple Ale, Native Ale, Spotted Cow, and the like? I'd be happy to send some CO beers your way in return...

Steveh, what was the name of that brewery up near Green Bay that just started bottling 12ers of the pale ale again?

Anyone that makes their way to WI should be able to get these since that is the only place they distribute them currently and they are part of their everyday rotation.

Apple Ale

As far as I know this is no longer made. Discount liquor in Milwaukee had a few bottles left when I was in town for Halloween. I will stop in and take a look next Thursday when I am in town.

Brewcrew - ever been to Timer's? (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/5595/) They have a pretty decent selection for being out-of-the-way (for the most part). Makes me think the Racine folk really like good brew.

The only time I have made it to Racine is for the Great Lakes fest. I usually stick to Discount since it is near my parents. It makes for easy stops when I go to Milwaukee. I am surprised how easy it is to find Sprecher and New Glarus in WI. Maybe it is just the Milwaukee area but most corner liquor stores I have been in have one or the other.

An interesting note about Sprecher. I used to work for Beer Capitol Distributors when I was in college and Sprecher required that their beer be kept refriderated in the warehouse and in the stores. I have bought Sprecher in Chicago before that was on the shelves and it definately was off compared to out of the cooler.

Fret - The Leinie's Apple Spice has made it's way around now. Saw it Saturday. A 6 pack comes with a bottle opener and one of those can/bottle things to keep ypur beer cold.

Randy used to be pretty adamant about keeping his beer refrigerated - to the point that he used to pull his product from distributors who didn't demand the beer be stored in coolers at all times. I don't know what happened with his thinking - maybe just realizing that the more he got out there, the more he'd sell - or maybe they started pasteurizing? Dunno.

I've also seen a lot of old Sprecher on shelves, too bad.

I can get you anything you want from New Glarus. I'd be more than happy to suggest a few from there actually.

Let me know what you want, I'd be glad to trade for some Fat Tire. I'd also be interested in some Stone brews if they distribute there.

anyway, let me know, i live 20 minutes from the brewery. (S. Madison).

Been there, I still have a wooden sixpack holder from my visit. I'm certain I have pictures somewhere.

Well, dancinwillie seems to have fallen off the face of the earth for now, so until he gets back, I'm going to put feelers out again for anyone near New Glarus who's willing to make a beer trade for some CO brews.

Anyone?... anyone?.... anyone?........

Send me a PM shopping list; I'll let you know what I can find...

Some of those are 750's only, some six pack, some might be 4 pack "unplugged" series...
