I have some old beer mugs (Keller Bier w/St. Georgen Brau on them, and one Hasenbrau, Ausburg). Does anyone know where to go to research their worth?

E-Bay?

Thanks, I have looked there; however, I'd rather find out what they are worth. Not what someone will pay for them.

Unfortunately, that's really the answer to most "collectibles," they're only "worth" what someone will pay for them at any one moment.

You might check the All About Beer magazine web site, they often have articles and ads from glassware sellers - St. Georgen is still available in Norhern Bavaria, so unless it's a veeery old mug, it's probabaly not going to bring in big bucks.

Thank you! I will try that. I honestly don't know how old the mugs are. A friend gave them to me after her father passed away. He was in the service many many years ago. These particular mugs have the potter's signature mark on them. I just want to see if they are of any real worth or not. I dislike Ebay, so I hate to rely on "what someone will pay for them".

Thank you again for your advice.:)

Also, look for a member here by the name of Chazwicke - he's a huge collector of all sorts of stuff, and mugs are no exception.
