I wouldn't bet on it but I'd be interested to know if you find out something different. I've only heard about the Casta brand through conversations with a person who lives in Mexico. I'm assuming that similar to Tres Equis (yes ... there is a XXX) you can only get it in Mexico.

Four varieties are sold in South Texas, in sampler packs and standard six packs.
I think Morena was the only one I found drinkable, the rest was drain unclogger. Maybe it was old beer, but I wouldn't think so, it came direct from the brewery via BPS big-wigs.
FYI Casta had a short lived introduction here in Texas. I had a chance to try all 4 and unfortunately, the price was not right, Bob. They were sold as a 4-pack and upwards of 6.50 :( For what it's worth, I thought them a suitable intro to imports....as WE know them to be. Not just some shlock fom Mejico......

Hey,
I tried Casta's Golden Ale the other night, and it was pretty darn good. The hop flavor was perhaps a bit on the skunky side, but for a mass-produced beer, it was still quite tasty.
Maybe I'm the only one, but I was pleasantly surprised... :)

I just saw all four flavors in a local store today. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow and pick up a few.
It's worth a shot, I guess.
