Just this weekend I tried Lagerhead Lager from the Charleston Brewing Company. It was awesome. I do try to keep up and know about local microbreweries, but I had not heard about this brewing company. Does anyone here know when it opened?

According to RateBeer and Beer Advocate, it's an actual brewery, although they are also listed on Frederick Brewing's site. Maybe they do their own draft products and Frederick contracts the bottles.

We have offered beer since January, but it took a while to get in many locations across the state. We pick up more locations frequently. As you noted our site is not too good for now, we paused the project of updating it a few months back to direct our efforts toward Half Moon Hefe Weizen. A 12 pk variety pack will be at Greens soon!

Thanks,

i live in charleston and this stuff is in about every grocery store i go into. i see people buying it all the time and i have had the east bay ipa a few times with friends and it is kickass for any beer even if it wasn't local.
they seem to be into quality in an area that is devoid of good beer culture.
i hope they do really well, it's a good product.
