We've been trying to make this for ages. Every Wednesday from 5-8pm the Wonderland Ballroom (11th and Kenyon Streets NW, and no it's not actually a ballroom) has a "Baby Happy Hour". The upstairs is non smoking at all times but they put some toys out, run some drink specials, and let the folks with weans have the run of the place. The music is kept low, so as not to compete with the shrieks of the crumbcrunchers I guess. It's actually a very nice time and given my present circumstance, it's nice that someone has thrown a bone to be-kindered part of the drinking community. Met some nice families and had some good beer.

On draft: Eggenberger Pils, Racer's IPA, Dominion Victory Lager, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Ayinger Hefe Weizen, Sierra Nevada PA, Yeugnling, Double Diamond PA, Guinness, Hoegaarden, and maybe one or two others (no macro other than Guinness). A few bottles: St. Louis Framboise, Becks Light and Dark, PBR and a few others.

Good jukebox with the hipster mix of old soul, country, alt-rock, punk, etc. The food is decent if unspectacular. Sausages are a house specialty.

It's nice to see a proper neighborhood bar too. Very rare in DC anymore. It's an old corner establishment.

The corner bar is indeed rare in DC. And one that has that kind of beer list is even rarer.

It's only been around for a year or thereabouts. I'm not surprised it's off of the radar. It's alos deep in the Petworth/Columbia Heights neighborhood not on any main drags.
