this is an asinine question. as a beer lover, i refuse to answer!
ok ok.. i'll humor you. if i had to pick, probably mgd.. always had a soft spot for miller beers in general (compared to other yellow fizz), and mgd reminds me of the snow days in college when we would get 30pks of mgd and play video games all day.

Can I have the option of dying of thirst?
OK. Coors original. Did I say that? Only because that is what I was around growing up and got used to it. Lived in CO for 27 years.

If you had to have one eye pierced with a red hot poker, would you rather it be the left, or the right?
I was at Applebee's last night, and the best beer they had on tap was Killians... So I had a glass of lemonade instead...

I would say let some other person enjoy them.

Well...the question does say "if you HAD to drink one"....
OH! if i HAD to drink one...that's completely different. if i HAD to drink one, then i'd pull my 9 mil from the small of my back and put a cap in my mouth.

So you mean if I was tied up by beer criminal gangsters who were determined to sully my beer-geeky palate with shite, and were kind enough to give me the choice of MGD or Coors Orig? Possible I suppose. Alright then...
MGD...'cause I prefer corn to rice (in my beer anyway).
Ich...I feel dirty now. Where's my porter?
Ninkasai...that's why i conceal carry...just in case i get posed with on of these damned if you do, damned if you don't situations ;)

One vote for Coors. Although I've had it right from the brewery, where it at least RESEMBLES beer...
paul84043

"Resembles" is a good choice of words, that would insunuate that it's not actually beer, which wouldn't be breaking news around here.....

OK, fair enough... can I at least cast a vote for the brown bottle, then? :p

OK, if I have to pick one, I would close my eyes and grab one. At this point in time I would become clumsy and spill it before I could drink it.

Well, MGD is good around the campfire, I mean poured onto the campfire to put it out, why waste water.

There's a word I'm looking for here, um...it'll come to me...oh yeah: no. :P
I went to a picnic this past Sunday, they had a keg of MGD and nothing else other than soda-pop. I had one glass with my burger, filled up another - talked to some folks, looked at the swill in my glass, walked quietly to a grassy area and poured out most of the full glass - then headed home for good beer to wash the (dis)taste out of my mouth.

All politicking aside...I'd do the Coors 'cause that's what I cut my newbie teeth on in high school. But I wouldn't tell anyone.

I bet you work for Coors/etcetra eh ?
Sick .
I'd rather pull my own teeth than only have availability of that 'beer' .
For me, twould be a German pilsener/lager like Spaten .

Easy, folks... this was a thread about the lesser of two evils, and everyone knows it. No need to cast aspersions upon anyone who votes for one or the other - it takes the fun out of it! If you'd really rather have neither one, fine - you can start a thread on how you'd rather drink a glass full of pond water than have a Coors. You won't get too many objections....
Personally, I AM a Sierra Nevada fan, as seems to be the case with "sierraman" (unless I'm inferring something that ought not to be inferred). But that wasn't the thread topic.

sayyyy , would you be a jaco pastorius fan ?
you know, I had Sierra Celebration Ale a long time ago at a New Years Party and some wise guy poured some grain alcohol into my glass when I wasn't looking and I took a bug gulp and became heinously ill ... So my regard for Sierra beers has been involuntarily altered ... I may have to give it a second chance though .

BIG Jaco fan. Right on the money!
DO give SN a second chance. It's never made ME sick. :)

OK I know this is off topic some but musically speaking, the music of Jaco Pastorius is great for hanging out and having some good beer. If any of you are into jazz in the slightest, check him out.
A lot of live performances can be had on cd .
Anyway Fretless- I saw him/Hiram Bullock and Kenwood Dennard in '86 just prior to his passing here in Pittsburgh at a tiny little place called Graffiti . Whoa was that something .
Friend and I managed an autograph afterwards as he sat at the bar sipping a bloody mary .
Anyway, glad i'm in company of like-minded folk here .

Although I can't imagine when I would have to choose between two terrible beers, I would go with Coors Original. Simply because, back in college, before I knew better, I had MGD Light IN A CAN, and it really was that bad. Really. Having sex with a fat person would have been more fun-- you might feel ashamed, and you wouldn't want your friends to see you doing it.... but the experience would probably be better overall.
