There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line

Invention, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% ................

See, invention should be 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration, 5% evaporation, 3% electricity, and 2% milk. This way, you've given 110%.

Change the 2% milk to 2% beer.

did anybody ever see the krogers brand beer. It was in a yellow can with a black pair of scissors that just said beer.
2% beer is kind of like 2% milk. Doesn't taste as good as high octane but better for you.

i bought some Tesco (UK version of Walmart) beer that weighed in at 1.9% abv. 4 tall cans for 90 pence (roughly $1.50).
It was better than Bud, but not by much... lacked body, hops, and depth of flavor.

I've been considering brewing a sub-3% beer. Maybe when I move to AG and can control the body a bit more.

In the 70s the generic craze kicked in and you often found plain white cans with just the word Beer printed in black. I think several manufacturers put it out. (Notice I said manufacturers and not brewers.;) )

I was present when one of these was shotgunned during a blizzard in the back room of an auto dealership in my misspent youth. Probably the most appropriate use of a noname beer I've seen.

That or a Monday night Football game with all the college roomates and buddies chipping in to buy quantity and not quality back then. I remember when Blatz was 99 cents a sixpack. and Brown Derby too. Safeway used to sell Scotch Buy beer as their store brand. Sometimes you could get sixers of swill for 89 cents. In college I was poor. I drank plenty of this stuff back then. I mean between six or seven guys and we could only muster 13 or 14 bucks.
Now, 30 years later, I am not poor and I would NEVER drink that stuff much less touch it with a 39 1/2 foot pole. In hindsight, I'd buy a single or two of good beer and drink water the rest of the time if I had to do it over again.

Ah yes misspent youth. I rememeber the nobrand varieity of beers. They would leave you with a worse headache then cheap wine. A couple of guys had a case of some no brand stuff and could not give it away after trying it.
We splurged and went for the 1.50 sixer of Globel or if we felt rich the 2.50 sixer of Genesse.

As I've said before, living in the fraternity house turned me on to good beer. If I kept Bud Light in the fridge and half of it walked away, you can't tell who swiped it. But keeping Konig Ludwig (hefeweisen) in there, you could tell if someone was drinking your beer, but they were all too scared to try it anyway.
BTW - I always use Konig Ludwig in telling that story because someone actually grabbed one out of my fridge without asking during a party. When he said he liked it, I offered him another.

When I was in the military we always looked for the cheapest swill we could find and always look for the bar that was hosting "drink till someone uses the restroom party".
If it was between paydays we would resort to drinking MadDog 20/20.
